The movie, "Coraline," is adapted from the eponymous novel of the same name by British author Neil Gaiman quiz movie quotes.

Coraline Movie Trivia Quiz!

It tells the story of a young girl who discovers that her family has moved into a house containing many other people and objects that she was not allowed to have access to, such as jack-o'-lanterns, monsters, and crows. Some of these people and objects welcome her while others make an effort to scare her away. The girl finds a way to enter a strange realm by looking through a small door that was supposed to have been locked.

The film is directed by Henry Selick and was adapted for the screen by respected fantasy writer David Lindsay-Abaire, who also wrote for the films "Rise of the Guardians" and "Coraline. At the age of 3 Coraline is sent to live with her aunt and uncle, and after an incident with a cake in the kitchen, she believes that they are trying to poison her. In an attempt to escape their clutches, she takes a job as a nanny in an apartment across the street. With the help of a gremlin named Wybie, who lives next door, Coraline finds herself calling upon her own imagination while saving her child sister from bugs and rats.

One of the characters in the film is a ghost girl who leads Coraline to the Other World. This is much like "Alice in Wonderland." Other parallels with "Alice in Wonderland" include an inquisitive girl going through a long journey to find something that she desperately wants. In this case, it is her parents who have gone missing after following their own adventurous natures.
